Discovery Evolution Appoints Scientific Advisory Board to Advance Digital-First Biologics Discovery
June 1st 2026
Discovery Evolution is pleased to announce the appointment of three distinguished experts to its Scientific Advisory Board: Dr. Catherine Hutchings, Dr. Bryn Williams-Jones, and Professor Krista Rombouts. The formation of the Scientific Advisory Board marks an important milestone as Discovery Evolution continues to expand its proprietary platform for the digital discovery and evolution of novel biologics targeting complex and historically difficult- to-drug diseases.
The newly appointed advisors bring extensive expertise spanning antibody discovery, translational medicine, computational drug discovery, regenerative biology, and therapeutic innovation. Their collective experience will help guide Discovery Evolution’s mission to transform biologics discovery through the integration of computational biology, in silico directed evolution, and biologics engineering.
Dr. Catherine Hutchings is a recognized leader in antibody drug discovery with more than two decades of experience developing biologics against challenging therapeutic targets and advancing next-generation discovery platforms.
Dr. Bryn Williams-Jones brings extensive experience in drug discovery, bioinformatics, and computational approaches to therapeutic development. His expertise in translating digital technologies into pharmaceutical innovation will support the continued advancement of Discovery Evolution’s platform.
Professor Krista Rombouts, Professor of Experimental Liver and Digestive Sciences at University College London (UCL), is internationally recognized for her work in fibrosis, regenerative medicine, tumour microenvironment biology, and translational disease research.
“We are delighted to welcome Catherine, Bryn, and Krista to our Scientific Advisory Board,” said Harold Vladar, Founder and CEO of Discovery Evolution. “Their scientific leadership and diverse expertise will be invaluable as we continue advancing our digital-first platform for biologics discovery. Together, we aim to unlock new therapeutic opportunities against targets that have traditionally been beyond the reach of conventional discovery approaches.”
The Scientific Advisory Board will provide strategic guidance on platform development, therapeutic applications, translational opportunities, and long-term scientific direction as Discovery Evolution continues to scale its biologics discovery capabilities. We look forward to working closely with our advisors as we continue building the future of biologics discovery.
RedQueen Platform Delivers First Antibody Hits for High-Value GPCR Targets
February 2, 2026
Discovery Evolution is proud to announce the successful identification of multiple antibody hits against two high-value GPCR targets using its proprietary RedQueen™ platform. By combining structure-based modeling, evolutionary computation, and advanced AI-driven prediction, RedQueen digitally explores antibody sequence space to design optimized binders for challenging membrane protein targets.
The resulting antibodies were synthesized and experimentally validated by Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI), demonstrating nanomolar binding affinities against native target receptors. GPCRs remain among the most important yet technically challenging target classes in drug discovery, making these results an important validation of Discovery Evolution’s digital discovery capabilities.
These candidates represent the first asset set generated through the platform and will now advance into functional characterization studies to evaluate their pharmacological activity.
This discovery program was supported through an FFG-funded initiative focused on the development and advancement of the RedQueen platform.
LoadRunner Campaign Marks First Major Deployment of RedQueen™ Digital Discovery Platform
September 15, 2025
Discovery Evolution today announced the successful completion of the first large-scale deployment of its proprietary RedQueen™ digital discovery platform in a campaign code-named “LoadRunner.” The campaign covered nearly 30 protein targets, including a broad range of clinically relevant GPCRs, representing a major milestone in the validation and scalability of the platform.
RedQueen™ is a next-generation digital antibody discovery platform specifically engineered for challenging membrane protein targets such as GPCRs. By combining structure-based modeling, AI-guided prediction, and evolutionary computation, the platform performs directed digital evolution to design antibody binders optimized not only for target affinity, but also for key discovery, developability, and manufacturability parameters.
During the LoadRunner campaign, RedQueen™ explored more than 100,000 antibody candidates across multiple target classes, efficiently generating prioritized antibody sequences and structural models predicted to exhibit high-affinity binding characteristics. The campaign demonstrated both the computational scalability and precision of the platform, establishing the foundation for subsequent experimental validation programs.
The development of the RedQueen™ platform was supported through an FFG-funded initiative together with the AWS SeedFinancing program.
